4 days ago · An EF-S lens is designed to only cover the size of an APS-C sensor. A Canon EF-S lens mounted on the adapter will switch the camera to crop mode. There are reports of 3rd party EF-S lenses not activating crop mode, and so giving a circular image. You can of course manually select crop mode from the Shooting menu or Q menu.
