In brief: car goes into limp and the auto gearbox won’t change gears. A transmission service required message comes up. The codes P2263 and P1719 come up. The traction warning light comes on at about 15mph and it goes into limp. When it gets to about 30 it clunks and the engine management light comes on and it feels like it won’t change gears.

We have a Mk4 Mondeo 2.0 TDCi. Recently it was left untouched for just over a week. When I went to start it, it wouldn't - immobiliser active apparently. A bit of googling suggested a low battery *could* cause this - and we've known the car to have issues with the battery draining for no apparent reason. So I tried jump leads. No joy

Hello Giraffe, I hope this doesn’t sound stupid, but where exactly is the Inlet Metering Valve (IMV). I keep asking this on Google, but never get a definite answer. I keep getting steamed anywhere but what I am asking. I have a Mondeo Mk4 tdci 2.0l diesel 2012 with fuel pressure loss on starting and stalls without notice whilst driving.
